Advise mid-size employers on the design and placement of group health, dental, vision, and life insurance programs — building lasting client partnerships grounded in transparent analysis and market expertise.
The Opportunity
Our Employee Benefits practice serves companies with 50 to 500 employees across the tri-state area. You will own a book of 30–40 accounts, managing annual renewals, plan design consulting, carrier negotiations, and open-enrollment support. This is a hybrid role with three days on-site in our Midtown Manhattan office and regular client visits.
Client-Facing Duties
- Lead renewal strategy meetings 90–120 days before effective dates
- Benchmark client plans against industry and geographic norms
- Present carrier alternatives with clear cost-benefit comparisons
- Coordinate open-enrollment communications and employee education sessions
Market & Carrier Work
- Negotiate rates and contract terms with national and regional carriers
- Analyze claims experience data to forecast renewal trends
- Evaluate self-funded and level-funded alternatives for growing groups
- Stay current on ACA compliance, state mandates, and ERISA requirements
Ideal Candidate
Three to five years of employee benefits brokerage or consulting experience with an active Life, Accident & Health license in New York. You thrive in a consultative sales environment and can articulate complex plan structures in plain language. GBA or CEBS designation holders will find immediate opportunities to leverage their expertise here.
