Junior Risk Consultant

Location:

Atlanta, GA

Experience:

Entry-Level (0–2 Years)

Salary:

$52,000 – $65,000

Launch your insurance career by working alongside senior risk consultants on loss-control surveys, hazard analyses, and client presentations that help commercial policyholders reduce exposure and lower total cost of risk.

Your First Insurance Role

This entry-level position is designed for recent graduates and early-career professionals who want to build a foundation in commercial insurance risk management. You will travel to client sites across the Southeast to observe operations, document exposures, and draft preliminary risk reports under the guidance of ARM- and CSP-credentialed consultants.

Over your first twelve months, you will participate in a structured rotation that includes property risk assessments, workers’ compensation hazard surveys, fleet safety evaluations, and business continuity planning workshops. Each rotation concludes with a presentation to the consulting leadership team.

What You Will Learn

  • How to conduct on-site loss-control surveys and document findings in standardized report formats
  • The fundamentals of commercial property and casualty coverage structures
  • Hazard identification methodologies including fault-tree analysis and bow-tie diagrams
  • Client communication skills — translating technical risk findings into actionable recommendations
  • Preparation of presentation decks and executive summaries for C-suite audiences

Who Should Apply

A bachelor’s degree in risk management, insurance, business, or a related field. No prior industry experience is required — we hire for curiosity, analytical thinking, and communication ability. Candidates should be comfortable with regional travel (approximately 30% of working time) and have a valid driver’s license.

Every senior consultant on our team started where you are now. We built this program because we believe the best risk professionals are developed, not discovered.

Director of Risk Consulting

We sponsor ARM and CRM designation coursework from your first day and cover all exam fees. The consulting team holds monthly knowledge-sharing sessions, and you will be paired with a dedicated mentor who guides your professional development through your first two years. This is not a placeholder role — it is the beginning of a career trajectory that leads to senior consulting, specialty practice leadership, or client executive positions within our organization.
